I started my financial career in 1978 while I was administrator as Director of Research and Sponsored Programs at Depaul University in Chicago. In that position, I worked closely with various federal government programs and agencies obtaining research grants and funds for “brick and mortar” for the University. Agencies I met with includes National Science Foundation, Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, and the Department of Energy. After receiving my doctorate degree in higher education and finance, I left the University and continued with arranging financing of commercial properties with included financing of commercial properties which included shopping centers and multi-family apartments as Bailen and Associates, Inc. In 1990, I joined up with a partner to form Revere Mortgage LTD, providing mortgage financing on single family housing. We specialized in helping self-employed and first-time home buyers acquire homes. We sold our mortgage company in 2009 to Wintrust Bank and I went on my own and joined First State Mortgage in 2014 as a mortgage lender.

With over 32 years of mortgage experience and over 5,500 happy clients, my clients can rely on my experience to ensure the best possible decisions at each juncture. As a mortgage lender, I control the home loan process from start to finish, from application through to closing. I look forward to providing each and every one of my clients with the best possible experience in both refinancing and purchasing their new home.

Outside of family, I enjoy acquiring for my own portfolio investment properties and interests in multi-family properties. I also enjoy going to various sporting events with my two grandchildren — both college and pro sports.
