Thank you for visiting my website! I’m Bill McNamee, Vice President and Retail Sales Manager for First State Mortgage. In my many years in the mortgage business, I have helped thousands of people purchase their dream homes and refinance them to improve their financial situation.
My team and I combine VIP service with in-depth problem solving. Whether you have a challenging situation or simply want the best possible terms and service, we are here to help every step of the way. I always make myself available beyond business hours, and will go the extra mile for every one of my customers.
I began my career in lending over 30 years ago. In that time, I have owned my own company, and was chosen to be the President of the Illinois Association of Mortgage Professionals. I also served as Vice President and Treasurer of the Illinois Association of Mortgage Brokers. I am honored to have received the “Loan Officer of the Year” and “Broker of the Year” award multiple times. I presently sit on the board of the real estate philanthropic committee Homesmart Helping Hands. I have also been interviewed and quoted by many news organizations including the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Reuters and Crains’ Chicago Business to name a few.
I have lived in the Northwest Suburbs my entire life, where I currently reside with my wife and teenage son. When I’m not helping customers, I enjoy working outside, and spending time with my family in Lake Geneva. I am the former host of the “My Kind of Town” and “Catholic School Spirit” radio shows.

What is your favorite part of your job?
I truly enjoy helping people, and seeing the smiles on the faces of happy customers. I love helping folks buy their ultimate dream home, knowing the difference it makes in their lives, or helping them buy their first home and seeing their excitement at home ownership.
What made you become a lender?
Real estate has always been an interest of mine, and I love to find innovative ways to help people and make an impact in their lives. I love working with people and solving complex problems. I enjoy the challenges and the rewards of assisting people to realize their dreams of home ownership.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Always look at the glass half full, and look for the positive in every situation. Always be grateful for what you have. Look at the big picture – persistence, determination and a positive attitude will lead the way to success.
